Eating your fruits and vegetables can give your skin a healthy glow. Researchers, whose findings were published in The American Journal of Public Health, say the orange and red pigments found in fruits and vegetables can visibly change skin tone, giving you a healthy, youthful look.
The study authors ask if appealing to one’s vanity might serve as a good motivator to get Americans to eat their recommended five servings of fruits and vegetables each day.
I ‘m skeptical. In my experience, intrinsic motivators, like optimal body function, and feeling good each day, are much more powerful than looking good or fitting into a certain dress size.
