The next time you sit down to watch a movie you can load up the air popper and indulge in some movie-munching guilt-free. According to researchers at the University of Scranton, popcorn has more antioxidants than most fruits and vegetables.
The level of antioxidants found in popcorn, polyphenols, was significant. One serving of popcorn had up to 300 mg per serving. Fruits and vegetables generally contain 255mg and 218mg, on average.
What do polyphenols do for you? Polyphenols help rid your body of free radicals, which can cause health problems. Researchers also believe they have cardiovascular benefits.
Of course, there are 2 caveats: 1) Popcorn, while a good source of polyphenols, ought not be a fruit and vegetable substitution 2) While it may be tempting, don’t drown your new health food in artery clogging butter.
We believe you can:
1) Take control of your own health
2) Become pain-free without invasive procedures or pills
3) Deserve to look and feel great in your body every day.
