Sport and energy drinks aren’t the nutritional powerhouses food manufacturers would like you to believe they are. Not only do they pack loads of sugar, but a recent study indicates they also promote tooth decay.
The study, published in General Dentistry, found the drinks contain high levels of acid. Acid erodes tooth enamel, leaving teeth vulnerable to decay. The damage is irreversible.
Teeth showed symptoms of enamel erosion after only 5 days of exposure to these drinks. Energy drinks caused twice as much enamel erosion as sports drinks did.
Save your teeth! Either drink some good old fashioned water or drink your energy drinks sparingly, and use a straw.
We believe you can:
1) Take control of your own health
2) Become pain-free without invasive procedures or pills
3) Deserve to look and feel great in your body every day.
