In July I was given an opportunity that I’d often dreamed of. Seriously, it was one of those opportunities from the land of gumdrops where unicorn roam, fairies make their homes, and disappointment and discontent are unknown.
What was this amazing opportunity, you ask?
I was invited to talk to University Hospital’s residents about non-pharmacological methods for pain management. This presentation was part of a wider effort to educate doctors about holistic treatments for pain in the wake of the opioid crisis, and I was so honored to be a part of this discussion.
I presented along with three other uber-intelligent women who are at the top of their fields in myofascial release, massage therapy, and yoga therapy. What an honor and an unforgettable experience to share MELT with people who can have such a positive influence on those who might really benefit from the MELT Method. The doctors were open to new ideas and LOVED the foot treatment!!
This event gave me, and MELT, a voice that is sorely needed within the medical community. We’ve begun to build the bridge between our two communities, and it is a huge step in facilitating healthy living.
